At Granville Dental Wellness Group, we want your first dental visit to be comfortable, clear, and genuinely welcoming. Whether you are new to Vancouver, haven't seen a dentist in a while, or are bringing your whole family, we’re here to support you at every step.
Step 1: Booking Your Appointment
We make it easy for new patients to get started with four simple steps: book your appointment online or by phone, complete your patient forms, meet our team for a comprehensive exam and X-rays, and then discuss your oral health and treatment plan. You can schedule your first visit online or by calling us at 604-261-8164, and same-day or next-day appointments are often available.
Step 2: Preparing for Your Visit
Before your appointment, we encourage you to fill out your patient forms, which are available for download on our website so you can save time when you arrive. On the day of your first appointment, please bring your health card, dental insurance card, a list of current medications, any recent dental X-rays, and your completed patient forms. Arriving 10 minutes early gives us time to verify your information and process your insurance paperwork.
Step 3: Arriving and Checking In
When you arrive, our front desk team greets you warmly and helps ensure you are settled comfortably. We walk you through each part of the process so there are no surprises, just a smooth start to your care.
Step 4: Your First Dental Exam
Your first clinical step is a comprehensive dental exam, which includes a review of your dental and medical history, digital X-rays as needed, and an open discussion about your oral health goals and any concerns you might have. We review all findings in plain language, answer your questions, and discuss next steps before moving forward.
Step 5: Personalized Treatment Plan
You will receive a treatment plan that is personalized for your needs, fully transparent when it comes to next steps and costs, and created without any pressure. If follow-up care or appointments are needed, we book those with you and handle all insurance paperwork on your behalf. A typical new patient appointment takes about 60 to 90 minutes.
What About Insurance and Payments?
We accept all major Canadian dental insurance plans, as well as the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), and bill your insurer directly. Our team confirms your insurance coverage before your appointment so you know exactly what to expect.
For Families and Children
We welcome families and can schedule family members for appointments back-to-back when possible, and provide age-appropriate care for children from their first tooth on. Children receive gentle, kid-friendly exams and preventive treatments in a supportive environment, with parent guidance and encouragement throughout.
Anxiety or Special Requests?
If you have dental anxiety, our team is trained to help you feel comfortable and safe, and we are happy to go at your pace or discuss additional comfort options.

Our opening hours are Monday to Thursday from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Friday and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and we are closed on Sunday.
